Standard Chartered GBS India, through aXess Academy, aims to enhance the technological expertise of each individual within the Bank. The academy follows two directives to achieve its goals: supporting the development of technical skills required for open banking and guiding the Bank's developers to foster openness and integration. The sessions and classes at aXess Academy encompass topics such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Agile methodologies, DevOps, System Controlled Audit Review File (SCARF), Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning for Architects, Azure, Cyber Security, and more. Over the recent years, aXess Academy has played a pivotal role in the growth of Standard Chartered GBS India employees through diverse training programs, hackathons, technology roundtables, and tech talks. Additionally, aXess Academy conducts a six-week bootcamp for fresh graduates, aiding them in developing specialized technology banking skills that serve as a foundation for the Standard Chartered talent pool. The curriculum is divided into five sprints, focusing on project-based experiential learning that covers key tech domains across the Bank, including Full Stack, Application Programming Interfaces, Cloud, DevOps, and Data Science, aligning with the Tech Strategy and domain requirements. The bootcamp also provides new joiners with access to leaders and subject matter experts in Retail Banking, Corporate and Institutional Banking (Trade and Finance), Financial Markets, Core Banking, and Channels.
