UK Apprenticeships

Our UK Apprenticeship Programme gives you the opportunity to start your career in banking straight from school, combining hands-on experience with structured learning and development. From day one, you’ll contribute to real work, learn from experienced colleagues and discover how a global bank works.

You’ll build professional and future-ready skills, grow your confidence and make connections across the Bank, while working towards a fully funded, industry-recognised qualification that will support your future career.

India Apprenticeships

Our India Apprenticeship programme is designed to help early talent build technical capability, professional skills and practical business experience within a global bank. Through a combination of structured learning and hands-on experience, apprentices gain exposure to real projects, develop future-ready skills and build an understanding of how our Bank operates on a global scale.

This programme provides a strong foundation for future career-growth, with opportunities for high-performing apprentices to progress into full-time roles.

This programme is designed to help you grow your confidence, accelerate your development and build strong foundations for a long-term career in an international Bank. No previous finance experience is needed, just ambition, enthusiasm, and a drive to make an impact.

Insight Programme

Our Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Insight Programme is an immersive 3-4 day experience designed to give first year students (or second of a four year degree) early exposure to the world of Corporate and Investment Banking – and a direct pathway into our Internship Programme. Delivered in London and New York each spring, the programme gives you the opportunity to explore different areas of CIB, build commercial and technical skills, and connect with senior leaders and early careers talent across the Bank.

Through interactive workshops, business simulations and networking opportunities, you’ll gain insight into the pace, complexity and impact of working in a global bank, while developing the confidence and experience to take the next step in your career journey.

Exposure to different teams, careers and opportunities across CIB
The confidence and future-ready skills to kick-start your career journey.

Is it for me?

If you’re curious about global business, excited to learn, and ready to challenge yourself, our Insight Programme could be a great fit. You don’t need previous experience in finance – we’re looking for motivated students with strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the confidence to bring new ideas and perspectives.

Internship Programme

Our CIB Internship Programme puts you at the heart of a global business, working alongside experienced professionals on real projects and challenges.

This isn’t work experience. Over 8-10 weeks, you’ll tackle real challenges, support clients, collaborate across teams and experience how international banking connects people, markets and opportunities across some of the world’s most dynamic economies.

You’ll gain:

Exposure to global clients, markets and business challenges
Future-ready skills through meaningful, hands-on experience
A powerful network of mentors, experts and peers
